San Remo is a beautiful town on the French-Italian rivera hosted historically known for hosting the San Remo Conference, an international meeting of the post-World War I Allied Supreme Council. In that quick yet historical meeting the world decided to implement “The Balfour Declaration” (a single paragraph in a letter dated November 1917 from the United Kingdom’s Foreign Secretary Arthur James Balfour to Walter Rothschild) and give the Jewish people back their right over their ancestral homeland after nearly 2000 years.

While on this tour, I have been working diligently on my newest teaching “Daniel’s 70 Weeks”. I look forward to sharing it in the coming weeks!

After my ministry tour I will begin guiding our first Young Adults tour in Israel. Following the Young Adults Tour, I will then depart for my June ministry tour in Mexico, the United States, Australia, Singapore and Japan.

NEWS/PROPHECY UPDATES:
Abbas in Russia: The Palestinians continue their efforts ahead of President Trump’s visit to Israel next week. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Sochi, Russia Thursday, their meeting centered on the peace process.

Addressing the press after their meeting, Abbas stated that the “Palestinian issue” cannot be resolved without Russia’s assistance. Abbas stated, “It is not possible to resolve the Palestinian issue without Russia’s real participation. This is our aim and we always say this at all international platforms.”

Putin stated that Russia and the Palestinians “have remained warm and trust-based” of late adding that “for years, we have been trying to solve one of the key issues of the modern world, that is the Middle East issue, so we always have things to discuss.”

Putin stated that Russia supports direct negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians and that peace would lead to stability in the region. The Russian president stated “I would like to stress that peaceful coexistence of two countries, Palestine and Israel, is an essential condition for ensuring genuine security and stability in this region… Russia will continue to give its full support to resuming direct dialogue between the Palestinians and Israelis. The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has but one solution- a political, negotiated solution based on international law.”
Macron/France: Recently elected French President Emmanuel Macron supports a two-state solution but openly condemns the BDS (Boycott, Divest and Sections) Movement on Israel as anti-Semitic.

Reports have already surfaced that the French president may call for a third Middle East Peace Conference in 2018. Israel and the Palestinians were not invited to the last conference held in January of 2017. The conference, which was attended by 70 state representatives in Paris, endorsed United Nations Security Resolution 2334 as well as the six principles that US Secretary of State John Kerry during his speech from December of 2016.Israel has been clear that it will only enter negotiations directly with the Palestinians, Prime Minister Netanyahu offering several times to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas since the conferece.

Macron stated in Beirut in January that France would “conduct an independent and balanced policy that would guarantee a dialogue by all sides and the construction of peace,” the French president speaking very little on France’s stance towards the conflict during his campaign.

Syria: There has been more proof of Assad’s atrocities towards his own people. The Unites States reported on Monday that it has evidence that Syrian President Bashaar al-Assad built a crematorium at a military prison outside of Damascus.

United States President Donald Trump’s Assistant Secretary for Near Eastern Affairs, Stuart Jones, confirmed the evidence from United States intelligence that Assad’s regime has disposed of bodies into mass graves and has built a crematorium. He stated that “Credible sources have believed that many of the bodies have been disposed in mass graves. We now believe that the Syrian regime has installed a crematorium in the Sednaya prison complex which could dispose of detainees’ remains with little evidence.”

Jones showed photos of the crematorium’s construction at the prison during the State Department briefing. The photos spanned from 2013 until recently with evidence of Assad’s activities. Jones cited reports from human rights groups and nongovernmental sources as well as from United States intelligence gathering.

The photos showed the construction building around areas that were used for mass graves and killings, Jones stating “We believe that the building of a crematorium is an effort to cover up the extent of mass murders taking place in Sednaya prison.”

The report claims as many as 50 prisoners were being hanged a day at the Sednaya military prison, with thousands of corpses being disposed of over the past few years.

United States: Israel reportedly provided the intelligence Unites States President Donald Trump disclosed in a meeting last week with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

The reports surfaced in The New York Times on Tuesday, quoting a “current and former American official”.

President Trump met with Lavrov in the White House last week, sharing intelligence information on a “major Islamic plot”. Details of the reports were not shared with the public, as they are “highly classified intelligence”.

Israel’s government and Ministry of Foreign Affairs refused to comment on the reports.

Reports surfaced Tuesday that officials at the State Department have warned President Trump to not officially recognize Jerusalem as Israel to avoid harming the peace process as well as “broader regional risks”.

The reports come after members of President Trump’s delegation preparing for his visit to Israel on May 22 reportedly told members of Israeli prep team while visiting the Western Wall (Kotel) to leave as “Israelis cannot be here” and that “this isn’t territory- it’s the West Bank.”

The White House responded, stating, “These comments, if true, were not authorized by the White House. They do not reflect the U.S. position, and certainly not the President’s position.” Shortly after, the United States confirmed that President Trump would visit the Western Wall during his tour to Israel, however, not accompanied by Prime Minister Netanyahu.

The media has also been centered on whether President Trump will address moving the American Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, the president vocally committed to the move since his campaign.

Speaking in an interview on Tuesday, United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Nikki Haley was asked about the incident, stating that she “wasn’t sure what happened” but that the United States has always recognized the Western Wall as part of Israel. She stated, “I’m not really sure what happened with that issue but I know that they’re trying to fix that and get that taken care of but you know we’ve always thought that the Western Wall is part of Israel.”
