40 God Judges Egypt II

The text says the waters of the river Nile, which being dried up, will no longer empty themselves into the sea. And the river shall be wasted and dried up; that is, the river Nile, which will ruin the Egyptians trade and navigation, but also the economic support of the country. Because there is little or no rain, in Egypt, they depend on what was supplied by the overflow of this river, that made it exceeding fertile. The prophecy states that the Nile will dry up. That will be caused by some great drought, which God sent in judgment or by the practices of some of their leaders. The economic benefits of it will be greatly dimished, and its usefulness destroyed. The reeds and flags shall wither away states that the crops on the banks and delta will dry up and wither away.
