The only two aspects of the Kingdom which were not revealed in the Old Testament was its duration and the circumstances by which it would come to an end. The Old Hebrew prophets for saw a long period of a peaceful Messianic reign; they just did not reveal how long it would last or how it would end if ever. The book of Revelation states this emphatically as a thousand years. The circumstances surrounding the end of the Kingdom and the succeeding Eternal Order were also provided to us in the Revelation. So, belief on the Messianic Kingdom does not rest on the Revelation twenty passages of the thousand years, but is based upon all the passages describing its characteristics in the Old Testament prophets and covenants.
