96 The End of God’s Patience

The Lord begins His own discourse on this subject of taking the earth back from the wicked Satan who brought the sin here. He begins with the statement, “I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself,” essentially describing one of His characteristics of extreme patience. God’s keeping silence was not due to indifference, for He had expressed His intention so to do until the time for speaking and acting had arrived in the fullness of time.
