The Russian Admiral Grigorovich cruise missile frigate sailed through the Bosporus on Saturday on its way to Syria. Russian military sources report that its mission is to support the Syrian army’s fight to recover the northeastern province of Idlib, the last to hold out under jihadist rebel control against the Assad regime. Both sides report fierce fighting with many dead and wounded.
