AMERICA, REPENT September 11, 2017

2 CHRONICLES 7:13-14
_____________________________________________________________________________
“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

What’s the best foundation possible for building a strong house? Well, it’s certainly not sand. Many times contractors will dig down till they find the correct soil constitution that will support the structure they desire to build, but in the end, it all comes down to what it is built upon…the foundation.
God spared the United States of America on September 11, 2001, and I do mean spared, for such a devastating blow to other countries would have most likely resulted in the collapse of that nation. I believe what happened to America is in direct accordance with Scripture. The Bible clearly states that God will correct and discipline any nation that He loves. What happened to our nation on 9/11 did not catch Him off guard. He had known about it from the eternal ages of time as the Alpha and Omega, the First and the Last, and the all-knowing God of eternity.
Could it be that God was saying, “America, truly I have shed My grace upon thee, but in your wealth and power you have forgotten Me. I gave you riches to be the greatest nation, but you became blind to your own weakness and now you are bleeding. I spared you while millions of unborn children were sent to Me before their time. I sheltered you between two great oceans and you said in your heart, ‘What evil can come to us?'”
On that day, God in His loving mercy began to judge this nation that He cares so much for, however, the question remains: will we repent of our self-centered arrogance and seek peace with God, or will we harden our necks against His next wake-up call? On that day, many looked around to find out that they had no foundation at all. When those buildings crumbled to the ground, it was as though their lives had ended.
Dear Christian, if your foundation is built on the King of kings and Lord of lords, then great is your footing! I pray that we make God our greatest affection, our only affection and may He once again bless our nation, America.
