Prime Minister Naftali Bennett warned that while Israel prefers diplomacy, it reserves the right to take action against Iran to halt its nuclear program if the international community fails to do so, during a meeting with Rafael Grossi, director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency, on Friday morning.

Bennett stressed the dangers of Iran’s continuing progress towards a nuclear weapon, as it misleads the international community with false information and lies. The prime minister called for urgent action by the international community against Iran, “by all means,” in order to prevent it from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Bennett also emphasized Israel’s support for the IAEA to carry out its mandate in Iran in a professional, autonomous and independent manner, as well as the importance of the IAEA’s Board of Governors sending a clear message to Iran.
