President Abdel-Fatteh El-Sisis Tuesday denied reports that the Egyptian army was building up for war with Ethiopia and Sudan. “We are not prepared to go to war against our brethren or anyone else for that matter. I am saying this as a clear message to our brothers in Sudan and Ethiopia,” he said. Cairo is fuming over the military pacts Sudan has just signed for leasing to the Turkish navy a Red Sea island base near the Saudi and Egyptian shores; and furious with Ethiopia for pressing ahead with building a big dam at the sources of the Blue Nile and the White Nile, that will reduce the flow of water to Egypt.
