ETERNALLY SECURE IN CHRIST JESUS

ETERNALLY SECURE IN CHRIST JESUSIt’s easy for the “you can lose your salvation” folks to sit there and criticize the “Once Saved Always Saved (OSAS)” folks. They say that if so and so isn’t doing this, or so and so isn’t doing that, they will lose their salvation.I would like to give these folks a reality check. Many people who claim to be Christians have never endeavored to seriously study God’s word. I know people from both camps who claim to be saved and know very little in regards to God’s word. You cannot please God and be in fellowship with Him if you are not walking in His word.Colossians 1:9-10 says:9 For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,10 so that you will walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.Do you see what verses 9 and 10 says? It says that we need spiritual wisdom and understanding so that our walk may be pleasing to God while we bear much fruit and increase in the knowledge of God through His word. There are hundreds of thousands of believers today who know very little about God’s word. That’s because most churches today are not teaching His word, but instead are involved with making people feel good and comfortable about themselves. So if you are a believer in Jesus Christ, and you are not applying Colossians 1:9-10, then you are in danger of not pleasing God, which means you are not walking in His word and are out of fellowship with Him. If you are a believer who wants to make Jesus Christ Lord of your life and start serving Him (1 Peter 3:15; Ephesians 4:11-14), then I would suggest that you begin with the following scriptures.Ephesians 5:17-18, Colossians 1:9-10, Colossians 3:1-2, Romans 12:1-2, Ephesians 2:10, 2 Timothy 2:15 – Just for starters. If you are a believer in Jesus Christ who believes that you can lose your salvation, and you are NOT applying these scriptures to your life on a daily basis, then you yourselves, by your own definition are in danger of being lost. However, John 10:27-29 gives complete assurance in regards to the believer’s eternal security in Christ Jesus.John 10:27-29 says:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me;28 and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and NO ONE will snatch them out of My hand.29 My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and NO ONE is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand.KEEP LOOKING UP (Titus 2:13)GOD BLESS – FRED
