Lebanese security source says blast occurred due to ‘technical error’
An explosion at a Hezbollah site rocked the area of Ain Qana in southern Lebanon Tuesday, leaving several injured, Hebrew media reported.

Ain Qana is in Iqleem al-Tufah, which is considered a Hezbollah stronghold. A Lebanese security source said that the explosion occurred in one of the Iranian Shi’ite terrorist group’s weapons depots due to a “technical error,” British network Sky News reported.
According to Lebanese broadcaster Al Jadeed, the blast originated in a house belonging to a Hezbollah operative. Following the incident, the Shiite terrorist organization closed off all entry to the area and has yet to comment on the blast.
Lebanon has been hit by social, political and economic crises in recent months. On August 4, a huge blast in the Beirut port left 190 people dead, thousands injured and swaths of the city devastated, prompting citizens to take to the streets to demand political change.
The Lebanese government has since dissolved, as the formation of a new government to force through major reforms is high on the agenda.
