God doesn’t merely give us at THING called, “grace.” God gives grace in that He gives HIMSELF. Grace is really God’s heart attitude towards all — grace is an expression of LOVE. There is actually no basis upon which God deals with us today except grace and Truth in His Son.
One of the greatest ironies of all is that God must bring us to the place where we can freely receive what He freely gives. So — rather than make us strong, He shows us we are weak. Rather than empower us to be good, He gives us Christ within — He gives us grace whether we are good or bad. All the while most of us are trying to be righteous, God is seeking to show us that we will never be, but that Christ is our only righteousness.
God saves us solely by His grace in Jesus Christ because that is the only way in which He could save us. Indeed, God created humanity to be recipients of His grace in Christ. There was never any other basis upon which God intended to fellowship with man.
Grace is not merely a doctrine or a dispensation. Grace is God — God has given us grace and Truth in the Person of His Son.
