DEBKAfile Exclusive: Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh Sunday morning flew from Cairo to Istanbul, despite Egypt’s commitment to the US and Israel that his permit was limited to Cairo and he would not be allowed to continue travelling to Turkey and Iran. Before flying out of the Egyptian capital, Haniyeh held a meeting with Islamic Jihad leaders that was arranged by Egyptian intelligence in order to discuss the last details of a prospective “truce” deal with Israel.
