When we are uncertain, it’s easy to feel disconnected from the Lord. It can be challenging to figure out what to say to Him. We put pressure on ourselves to hide our doubts and frustrations. But the beauty of healthy relationships is their depth of vulnerability and trust.
One of the shortest, yet most profound biblical examples of this, is the story of Thomas. This disciple was incredibly dedicated to the Lord. Ready to die with Jesus. Completely sold out for Him. Yet when Jesus appeared to the disciples after His resurrection, Thomas was absent. So when he was told the good news, Thomas didn’t believe it.
When Christ later appeared to him, He didn’t shame Thomas for his doubt. He met Thomas right where he was, and showed him the truth. You, too, can take your doubts or fears to Jesus. He will meet you in your doubt, to speak life and truth into your uncertainty.
