IDF soldier killed in West Bank

As troops were leaving the village of Yaabed near the West Bank city of Jenin when a large stone was dropped on them from a rooftop critically injuring staff sergeant Amit Ben Yigal

An IDF soldier was killed Tuesday after sustaining injuries from a stone thrown at his head.

Staff Sergeant Amit Ben Yigal (21) from the Golani Brigade and his comrades were conducting arrests of four terror suspects in the village of Yaabed near the West Bank city of Jenin.
As the troops were leaving the village a large stone was thrown off one of the roofs in the village and landed on the head of the soldier who sustained serious injuries.
He later died at the hospital.
IDF troops were searching for the stone-throwers.
Defense Minister Naftali Bennet said the IDF will pursue the terrorists responsible for the death of the staff sergeant and bring them to justice.
The soldier was the first IDF casualty in the West Bank reported since the beginning of the year
