Cyrus the Great, on the other hand, was a benevolent conqueror and a brilliant military strategist who founded the Achaemenian Empire. Cyrusm the Persian King (590-529 BCE), a mainly tolerant and merciful ruler, integrated all the Iranians and established one of the largest empires in world history.
Cyrus the Great is remembered for his impact in the sphere of religion, human rights, philosophy, and literature. The greatest conqueror of the ancient world turned ancient Persia into a superpower in less than 15 years.
The body of the great politician and genius leader of Persia rests in Pasargadae, an immense stone tomb oriented toward the rising sun. literally, Cyrus means sun, the symbol on the Iranian flag before the mullahs’ takeover..
Cyrus died but the Persian empire lives on. This is the core of Persian culture and the Iranian ancient civilization. The name of Iran remained positivie after a thousand years in the globe, from the founding of the Iranian Monarchy to its fall in 1979.
Cyrus was not the only great leader, Other great kings ruled Iran in the past, and among them, despite criticisms of some of their deeds are Darius the Great ( 522 BCE-486 BCE), Nader the Great ( 1736-1747 C.E.) and Reza Shah Pahlavi ( 1925-1941 C.E.). This matter leads to the question of why Cyrus is relevant today.
The return of the young generation in Iran to its historical identity, ancient history, patriotism and national pride is a kind of intellectual maturity. One of the main political figures that persuaded the public and Iranian youth to study the ancient history of Iran is the act of Reza Pahlavi.
The Crown Prince is the remembrance of a Persian Kingdom. The passion of youth, its pride and national identity are far from the destructive ideology of Khameinism and fundamentalism. In his historic visit to Israel, Reza Pahlavi appeared as eventual heir of Persian throne, spreading a peaceful message to the Israeli community.
Two days later, a video of Iranian youth Mashhas, a religious city, shows the chanting of “Long Live Israel…Down with Palestine”. Iranian people in Sirjan chanted: Death to Palestine on May 1st, 2022. And now we have the video of Basij forces laughing in Khamenei’s face.
These instances show that the Iranian people support peace and have no problem with Israel. They also show the absurd ideology of the theocratic regime and terrorist Shia mullahs in Tehran which supports terrori against Israel.
In any possible regime change in Iran, the only way to preserve the territorial integrity of Iran is dependent on the rise of a trustworthy person to control the volatile situation in Iran and that is why the monarchical system is alive in the mentality of Iranians, and is a permanent point in an unpredictable circumstance.
Regardless of critical perspective in politics, the Late Shah is memorialized in every positive way by Persians across the world because of modern Iran that he initiated with his father. Anyone who has studied the history of Iran should have known that the collapse of the Kingdom in Iran meant turmoil for the region as well.
Today, only the outlaw regime of Iran and the fans of terrorist groups in 1979 are against the rise of Reza Pahlavi. The warm respect of Israel towards Reza Pahlavi disturbed the followers of Islamic revolutionary activists,
So far, some of the political dwarfs in the so called opposition are against the return of Iran to monarchy. Perhaps no issue better illustrates Iran’s ability to raise up its former pride and identity. Iran is constantly struggling for more equitable historical orde. Beyond that, it would be naïve to think that any system less than democratic monarchy will not be devastating in the future of Iran.
The nationwide protest inside Iran is a point with no return. According to most observers, what is happening in Iran is a struggle to renovate the magnificence in Iran. Monarchy is a solution for Iran; this is true no matter which metric once uses.
Now, after visiting Israel, crown prince Reza Pahlavi is in Italy. He visited significant spiritual sites and places of worship in Jerusalem, Haifa and Vatican City, with the purpose of interacting with the public and religious and political leaders, telling them that, thousands of years ago, the ancient nation of Iran was a cradle of diversity and freedom for innumerable religions and belief systems.
Historically, since the era of The Cyrus Great, the admirers of special beliefs in Iran worshipped and resided in peace and acceptance alongside each other. In truth, it was the Persian civilization. In a future secular and democratic Iran, after regime change and the end of the ruling theocracy, the rule of law will be established.
