Iron Dome intercepts barrage of rockets fired at Israel

The IDF reportedly attacked several Hamas posts in Gaza in retaliation to earlier rockets launched.

About 50 rockets were fired from the Gaza strip and landed into Israeli territory on Saturday, according to the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit.

Residents in Ashkelon and Ashdod reported hearing explosions in the area as rocket sirends went off in Ashkelon.

Estimation is that 50-60 rockets have been fired from #Gaza into #ISRAEL in past half hour. No injuries reported.

Several rockets were intercepted by Iron Dome above Ashkelon, the Ashkelon municipality Spokesperson reported.

A rocket hit a house at the Gaza border community of Kissufim and another landed in a yard at house in Sha’ar Hanegev, according to Israeli media reports. There were no injuries reported.

The IDF reportedly attacked several Hamas members in Gaza in retaliation to the rockets launched, killing three.

Roads around the Gaza strip border and Zikim and Ashkelon beaches were blocked by the IDF as the citizens were instructed to follow IDF instructions.
