An Israeli satellite service company released photos Thursday evening showing damage to an Iranian missile production facility near Tehran in a “mysterious” explosion earlier this week.

Satellite photos show that at least a quarter of the building, which ImageSat International said was a “secret missile base” belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is completely destroyed, while more damage is reportedly visible on the roof of the structure.

At least two members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps were killed and several others were injured in the blast on Monday.

Iranian media referred to a “fire” and claimed that the building in question was a “research center.”

Numerous incidents have been reported in recent years at complexes vital to Iran’s energy and military sectors or to its nuclear program.

Some of them are said to be due to technical malfunctions, while others have been blamed by the Islamic Republic on its enemies, including the United States and Israel.
