BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:20 A.M.) – The Israeli Air Force launched a new round of strikes on Syria, targeting the Hama Governorate for the second time in thirty days.

According to a field report from the Tartous Governorate, the Israeli warplanes fired several missiles from Lebanese territory, prompting the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) to activate its coastal air defenses.

The report said the Syrian air defenses managed to intercept some of the missiles; however, a number of them still hit their targets in the western countryside of the Hama Governorate. The target of the Israeli strikes were military sites located along the administrative border of Hama and Tartous, the report continued.

The strikes began at approximately 4:00 A.M. (Damascus Time) and continued for several minutes before the Israeli warplanes flew away from the Lebanese coastal city of Tripoli.

According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), an entire family was killed in the strikes, including their two young children. The SANA report said another four people were wounded as a result of this attack by the Israeli Air Force.

There was no confirmation on the number of military personnel killed and wounded during this attack.

It should be noted that this latest attack by the Israeli Air Force marks the third time this year that they have targeted the Syrian Arab Republic. The last attack was their largest of the year, as they heavily bombarded the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
