The warning comes after a sharp rise in violent anti-Semitic incidents against Jews in Germany

The German government’s commissioner combating anti-Semitism warned Saturday that he cannot guarantee safety for Jews wearing traditional religious skullcaps in public ‘anywhere’ in the country.

Dr. Felix Klein advised Jews against wearing the Kippa amid “increasing social dis-inhibition and brutality” that gives rise to violent anti-Semitic attacks against Jews in Germany.

Klein told Germany’s Welt news outlet that while 90 percent of incidents are carried out by far-right perpetrators, attacks carried out by Muslims are connected to Arab TV “stations that convey a fatal picture of Israel and Jews.”

“There is a clear definition of anti-Semitism, and it has to be taught in police schools,” he said. “It likewise belongs in the education of teachers and lawyers.”

The warning comes after crime statistics released in February showed a 10 percent rise in anti-Semitic incidents in Germany, with violent incidents increasing by an alarming 60 percent.
