Lessons to be learned from Afghanistan

The United States fled Afghanistan and left ruins there. Israel needs to learn the lesson from this event.

Jay Shapiro talks about the American failure in Afghanistan and notes that this should worry all the heads of Israel’s defense establishment.

In his opinion, Israel should concentrate on self-defense, on its own, and not rely on any other country to stand by it in time of need.

Shapiro adds that Israel, militarily, is strong enough to deal with all the threats around it and must produce more deterrence against its enemies.
