Netanyahu reiterated: ‘Entry to quarantine is not a recommendation, it is an obligation’
Israel’s acting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced three new measures to fight against the outbreak of COVID-19.
“First we shall dramatically increase our ability to locate and isolate infected persons,” Netanyahu said, adding that surveillance technology would be implemented to alert those who have been in contact with an infected person.

Netanyahu reiterated, “Entry to quarantine is not a recommendation, it is an obligation and we shall enforce it without compromise.”
The prime minister also announced that he would “dramatically increase the number of tests,” adding that the health ministry would be instructed to ramp up the number of tests to 3,000 a day.
Lastly, the Israeli leader said that hospitals would be “increasing their preparedness for serious cases” and that another 1,000 respirators would be bought.
