Pakistan’s new interior minister is an Al Qaeda associate

Prime Minister Imre Khan this week appointed as Pakistan’s new interior minister Brig. Ljaz Shah who is known for his ties with Al Qaeda and the Taliban. In 2002, the brigadier was suspected of connections with the Islamist gang which abducted and murdered the American-Jewish journalist Daniel Pearl, who was on the track of Al Qaeda leaders. They ordered his execution by decapitation. The late Pakistani President Benazir Bhutto, who was herself assassinated in 2007, had confided to her associates that Brig. Shah ought to have been arrested and investigated for his role in orchestrating and executing Daniel Pearl.
