US President Donald Trump and Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu take part in an announcement of Trump’s Middle East peace plan in the East Room of the White House in Washington, DC on January 28, 2020
The Arab League also vowed “not to… cooperate with the US administration to implement this plan”
The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, based in Saudi Arabia and consisting of 57 member states, rejected Trump administration’s Middle East plan on Monday, according to Reuters.
The pan-Islamic body, which represents more than 1.5 billion Muslims worldwide, “rejects this US-Israeli plan, as it does not meet the minimum aspirations and legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and contradicts the terms of reference of the peace process,” it said in a statement.
The OIC added that it calls on “all member states not to engage with this plan or to cooperate with the U.S. administration in implementing it in any form.”
Earlier this week, The Arab League also said it rejects Washington’s controversial Middle East plan, calling it “unfair” to Palestinians.
The pan-Arab bloc said in a statement released Saturday that it “rejects the US-Israeli ‘deal of the century’ considering that it does not meet the minimum rights and aspirations of Palestinian people.”
Arab leaders also vowed “not to… cooperate with the US administration to implement this plan.”
