President Reuven Rivlin launches Sunday afternoon the first round of consultations with party leaders to hear their recommendations before deciding on which new Knesset member he assigns the task of setting up a new government after the Sept. 17 election. He starts with the five leading parties – Kachol Lavan, Likud, the Joint (Arab) List, ultra-religious Shas and Avigdor Lieberman’s Yisrael Beitenu.
