Progress made in adding Sudan to Abraham Accords

According to a report in the Maariv newspaper, senior political and diplomatic figures in Israel have noted progress made recently by the US administration in reaching out to Sudan with regard to finding solutions to the outstanding impediments to joining the Abraham Accords.

A peace treaty with Sudan was concluded in the final days of the Trump administration, but since then, no practical progress has been made. Senior figures in the Sudanese government have said that a number of important issues must still be resolved prior to signing a normalization treaty with Israel.
