The Qatari government has said that 13 Israeli women and children will be released by the Hamas terrorist organization later today, along with seven foreign nationals.
This will bring the number of Israeli hostages released since Friday to 39, after 13 were released on Friday afternoon and another 13 on Saturday night.
Earlier, the Prime Minister’s Office stated that Israel had received a list of the Israeli hostages who will be released this evening: “Security officials are currently checking the list of hostages, and light of the fact that yesterday, there were multiple violations of the agreement, including the decision to release the girl Hila Rotem and leave her mother in captivity.”
Israel will also release 39 security prisoners tonight, three for every freed Israeli hostage.
About 240 Israelis and foreign nationals were taken hostage by Hamas and other terrorists from the Gaza Strip during the massacre of October 7. Last week, a deal was reached to secure the release of about 50 of the hostages.
As part of the deal, Israel agreed to halt its military operation against Hamas for four days, beginning on Friday morning, in addition to freeing about 150 security prisoners. On each day of the ceasefire, Hamas has released 13 Israeli hostages, along with a number of foreign nationals.
