Question of the Day: Q. My family and I are trying to witness to a small group of young adults. Their beliefs are currently a hodge podge of the various agnostic worldly views. Can you offer us any suggestions?

A. When Paul went to Corinth, it was a large prosperous city. There were many eloquent speakers, promoting a wide variety of beliefs. Paul knew that trying to debate them on their individual opinions was foolish so he resolved to “know nothing except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.” (1 Cor. 2:2) That’s still good advice . This group of young adults can easily side track you with irrelevant questions if you’re not careful. Stick to the basics. We’re all sinners in need of a savior. Out of love, Jesus agreed to be our Savior by giving His life on our behalf. On the third day He rose again. All who accept His death in payment for their sins and believe God raised Him from the dead will inherit eternal life. Those who don’t won’t (John 3:16, Romans 10:9, 1 Cor. 15:1-4).
So it all boils down to four questions to ponder.
1. Do I believe I’m a sinner, unable to save myself?
2. Do I believe Jesus died for my sins?
3. Do I believe God raised Him from the dead?
4. Will I accept His death as payment in full for my sins and ask Him to be my Savior?
