The Russian news agency Sputnik is reporting that talks have recently been underway between Bahrain and Iran in an attempt to renew relations between the two countries, which were severed in 2016 due to the crisis between the Iranians and Saudis.
According to the report, bilateral consultations have been conducted so far without the mediation of any additional parties.
It was also reported that an announcement on the results of the talks is expected to be published in the near future if an agreement is reached on the issues in dispute.
