Smoke rising from Israeli bombing early Thursday morning, Feb. 6, 2020
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the killing of at least 12 militias loyal to Iran, both Syrian and non-Syrian nationalities, during a Thursday overnight Israeli bombing of sites belonging to regime forces and pro-Iranian militias of Brigade 91 of the First Division in the vicinity of al-Kiswa, and Brigade 75, in the vicinity of Al-Suqaylabiyah, a Greek Orthodox Christian Syrian city in Hama Governorate, southwest of Damascus.

There was also a bombing of an agricultural airport south of Izraa, a town in the Daraa Governorate of Syria, to the north of the city of Daraa. The bombing there targeted air defense batteries and weapons and ammunition depots. Many of them were destroyed, according to the Observatory’s report.
SANA reported on Thursday morning, citing a Syrian military source, that the Syrian Air Defenses at dawn on Thursday “intercepted two waves of air aggression, the first wave started at 01:12 AM which targeted some of our military positions in the suburbs of Damascus.”
According to SANA, “a second wave of aggression started at 01:41 AM, and it targeted military positions in the surroundings of Daraa, Quneitra and Damascus Countryside with a number of missiles fired by Israeli warplanes from the airspace in Southern Lebanon and the occupied Golan, the source added.”
The military source said that the “vigilance of our air defenses personnel have contributed to destroying large numbers of the hostile missiles and the aggression caused the injury of eight fighters, in addition to a material damage, and the repercussions have been followed up around the clock.”
The source added that the Army and Armed Forces General Command “affirms that this Israeli aggressive escalation will not be able to save the armed terrorist organizations which have been collapsing in Idleb and western Aleppo in front of the strikes of the Syrian Arab Army.”
Maybe, maybe not.
