Russia is attempting to secure the release of a security prisoner convicted of espionage in favor of Syria – according to a statement by the head of the “Palestinian Prisoners organization” to Haaretz.
Family members of the prisoner, a resident of Majdal Shams, said that Israel made it clear that it was ready to release him, but only if he moved to Damascus and did not return to his home in the Golan Heights.
