In this video Dr Woodhead discusses what John saw in the Throne Room of God. Rev. 5:6 And I saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, a Lamb standing, as though it had been slain, having seven horns, and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, sent forth into all the earth.
The word “lamb” appears 28 times in Revelation. It is the most prevalent description of the Lord Jesus in the book of Revelation. He is in the middle (centrality) of everything. It’s important to see the position in the Throne Room where God is. He is in the middle of everything. The centrality of Christ is paramount to understanding the authority and the power that he has. He’s in the middle of everything and He’s going to be controlling everything in this chapter, in this book. He controls everything now.
The seven angelic spirits are just waiting for the go-ahead to carry out the Tribulation. The interesting thing is He has marks of death upon himself. Somehow, these marks of death are apparent to the Apostle John. It doesn’t say how.
