Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, who currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of Russia’s National Security Council, warned that any attempt to arrest Russian President Vladimir Putin would be considered by Moscow to be a declaration of war against it.

His remarks came in response to the international arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court in The Hague against Putin. The order was issued following the report of the UN commission of inquiry which determined that Russia had committed war crimes in Ukraine.
