A senior Israeli official told Israel Hayom that: “Iran knows that if it breaks through to 90 percent uranium enrichment, there will be an Israeli strike.” This was said against the backdrop of reports about the possibility of a an agreement between Iran and the West regarding its nuclear program.
The senior official added that both the US and Western countries know that Israel’s red line is 90 percent enrichment, a level that is sufficient to use for a nuclear bomb.
The Israeli source estimated that despite the great efforts put forth by the US to reach an agreement with Iran, it will not come to pass because Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is not interested in one.
