How many times have I said that “our eternity is shaped in time”. Not only our eternity but even the eternity of some that cross our paths in life (time). As Christians we should be impacting others as we walk the path that Almighty God has set before us. We need to be reflecting Jesus as we live in these end times. We should stand out in these darkening time in which we live.
So how do we shape our eternity … well how do people shape their lives on planet earth. They invest into their lives for the future. They work and save. They deposit into bank accounts to get the things that shape their lives. Homes, education, family, cars, clothes … They invest into their future. Their life styles. Into time. We all do it … it’s how people live and invest into their life. Some even invest into a funeral plan. The final investment.
As Christians, how do we shape our eternity, how can we invest or deposit into our eternal account. Now let me say that I am not talking about salvation, Jesus did it all on the cross. We can not add anything to the finished work of the cross … but we can shape our eternity. We will all stand at the bema seat of Christ and be judged for what we did as Christians with our talents. How we spent them in time. Who or how did we invest or deposit our talents into. Remember the Parable of the Talents (Matthew 25:14-30)
So how do we shape our eternity … with the talents we have been given by our Abba Father. Their are so many countless ways we can invest our talents on a daily basis. We can visit the sick in hospital, Buy a bag of groceries or a few items and donate it to your local food bank or shelter. Make soup for a friend recovering from surgery or an illness. Pray for friends, family, the unsaved, the church age saints, your church and lets not forget Israel. Encourage someone. Do volunteer work at a shelter or your local church or community centre. Help someone who looks lost with directions. Pray for direction in how you can be a blessing to others. Be led by the holy spirit in you. Share the gospel with a friend … share it with a stranger. Share your testimony and the ways Almighty God moves in your life. Give someone a drink of water. Give a meal to a homeless person. Give them a warm jumper or blanket. Post an encouraging article on social media. E-mail a good teaching or preaching video link to a friend or family member.
As stated .. the ways are endless and different for each of us. But it will bless and encourage others when they see Jesus in you. This world needs to experience the love of Jesus and the hope we have in Him … You can give this world Jesus in you as you shape time and eternity. Spend those talents that Almighty God has invested in you for this end times generation.
