Syrian Army air defense systems were activated on Tuesday night after an air-strike that targeted the T4 Military Airbase near the city of Homs, Arab media reported.

The attack was reportedly carried out by fighter jets, but it is unclear who carried out the attack. The Syrian state news agency SANA claimed that most of the missiles were shot down.

Simultaneously, explosions were heard in the Deir Ezzor area of eastern Syria near sites belonging to Syrian regime forces.

This is a developing story.
