Syrian report: Six IDF assailants killed in Damascus tonight

Four of those killed belong to the country’s pro-Iranian militias and two to the Islamic Jihad. Organization spokesman: The act will not go silent, the account remains open

Syrian surveillance center reported six fatalities in an air strike last night in southern Damascus. Four of the fatalities are reported to belong to the country’s pro-Iranian militias, and two to the Islamic Jihad.

Islamic Jihad’s military wing spokesman Abu Hamza responded this morning to the air force attack in Syria, saying it was an act that would not go unnoticed. ” The account remains open, ” the Twitter spokesman said. 

Tonight  , IAF fighters attacked a site used by Islamic Jihad to develop weapons and train the operatives. The terrorist organization reported that two of its men were killed in the attack. Dozens of targets were also attacked in the Gaza Strip last night after launching more than 30 rockets into southern Israel.

The IDF reported that “the attacks were carried out in response to the attempted attack  on the perimeter fence and the rocket launches from the Gaza Strip into Israeli territory. The IDF will respond firmly to Islamic Jihad terrorist attacks that endanger Israeli citizens and violate its sovereignty. The IDF sees the rocket attack very severely against Israeli territory, is in high readiness and will continue to take whatever action it takes against attempts to harm Israeli civilians. “

The rocket launches from the Gaza Strip  began yesterday around 5:30 PM. The Iron Dome system intercepted at least 13 of the 30 rockets launched into Israel from the Gaza Strip. The Ashkelon resident was slightly injured when he ran into a sheltered area and was otherwise anxious. Today, his studies will continue in Ashkelon, in Sderot Netivot and in the Gaza Strip communities.

Two weeks ago , the IDF attacked weapons depots in the Damascus area , including an Iranian weapons depot in the international airport. The Syrian surveillance center reported that seven people were killed by Syrian regime and pro-Iranian militias. They are Iranians and three of them Syrian al-Sharq al-Awsat reported that two of the four Iranians killed in the attack were senior officers: General Ridai Mehmadi, the commander of the Revolutionary Guards Forces in Damascus and General Haj Hussain, in charge of arming the troops. .
