IDF says 8 wanted Palestinians arrested in West Bank raids
The Israel Defense Forces says troops detained eight wanted Palestinians during raids across the West Bank overnight and this morning.
During an operation in Nablus’s Old City this morning, a wanted Palestinian man was arrested, and two assault rifles are seized at his home. A second suspect was detained nearby, the IDF says.
The IDF says Palestinian rioters hurled stones at forces during the operation, and gunmen opened fire and hurled explosives as the troops left the city. No soldiers are hurt.
Palestinians said a boy, 14, was shot and wounded.
In a separate raid in the town of Jamma’in near Nablus, another assault rifle is seized by IDF forces, the military says.
The eight wanted men are handed over to the Shin Bet for further questioning.
