Revelation chapters 21-22 gives us a detailed picture of the new heavens and the new earth.
The current heavens and earth will be done away with and replaced by the new heavens and new earth.
~NOW I saw a NEW HEAVEN and a NEW EARTH, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Rev. 21:1
The eternal dwelling place of believers will be the new earth.
The new earth is the “heaven” on which we will spend eternity.
The new earth where the New Jerusalem, the heavenly city of God, will be located.
~And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain,and showed me the GREAT CITY, the HOLY JERUSALEM …DESCENDING OUT OF HEAVEN FROM GOD. Rev. 21:10
Having the GLORY OF GOD..the city’s light will be like precious stones, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal.
The city is pure gold like clear glass with all kinds of precious stones: jasper, sapphire, chalcedony, emerald, sardonyx, sardius, chrysolite, beryl, topaz, chrysoprase, jacinth, and amethyst..with pearly gates…
There will be no temple for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are it’s temple.
~But I saw NO TEMPLE in it, for the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and the LAMB are it’s temple. v 22
The city has no need of the sun or the moon for the GLORY OF GOD illuminated it..THE LAMB IS IT’S LIGHT..
We will see Jesus face to face,and HIS NAME will be on our foreheads..
There will be no more tears, no more pain, and no more sorrow ..
~And God will WIPE AWAY EVERY TEAR from our eyes; there shall be NO MORE DEATH, nor SORROW, nor CRYING. There shall be NOR MORE PAIN, for the former things have passed away.Rev 21:4.
There will be no more separation, because death will be conquered.
Heaven is a place of “NO MORES!”
