You have sinned. You have fallen short of God’s standard of rightness. But through Jesus, “God in his gracious kindness declares [you] not guilty” (Romans 3:24).
Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved!
In the New Testament, a jailer at Philippin asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30).
Paul and Silas answered, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved” (Acts 16:31).
What does it mean to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ? What does it mean to be saved? First of all, it means being saved by faith, not works, Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
The free gift of salvation is by God’s grace through faith. You must accept Jesus is the eternal Son of God who died as a substitutionary sacrifice for our sins and three days later rose from the dead.
Every person is a sinner. (Roman 3:23). Our sins separate us from God and we deserve spiritual death. (Romans 6:23). Those who die apart from Christ receive eternal separation from God in hell (Matthew 25:46).
Every person stands in desperate need of salvation. Those that are saved and those that are unsaved is the difference between eternity with the Lord in heaven and eternity apart from Him in Hell.
Romans 10:9 gives us the important message that one has to believe in order to saved: “ if you confess with your mouth what Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” This means you are accepting Jesus as God’s Son and faith that Jesus has been resurrected from the dead. Christ died as a substitute for you and me as the penalty for our sins. 2 Corinthians 5:21 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.Please except Jesus as your Lord and Savior today.
