An American delegation is expected to take the first direct flight from Tel Aviv to Rabat
Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s son-in-law and advisor, will visit Israel and Morocco next week to discuss the normalization of ties between the two countries, a US official said Tuesday.
The American delegation, headed by Kushner, will take the first direct commercial flight from Tel Aviv to Rabat, the source said.
Kushner is expected Monday in Israel.
Morocco last week announced a “resumption of relations” with Israel, in an announcement making it the fourth Arab country this year to unveil plans to normalize ties with Jerusalem through a US-brokered deal, following the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Sudan.

The announcement came after Trump tweeted that Rabat and the Jewish state had agreed to “full diplomatic relations.”
Speaking to i24NEWS on Monday, Minister Delegate to the Moroccan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohcine Jazouli welcomed the resumption of relations between his country and Israel, stating that “Judaism is embedded in Moroccan culture.”
Jazouli further stressed that following the resumption of relations between the two nations, “Jewish history would appear in school textbooks and would soon be taught.”
