A senior IDF officer reports that the establishment of two new bases in the Jordan Valley is being planned as an urgent priority. Their purpose is to boost national operational resources on Israel’s eastern border. They will also serve a more immediate need, to provide isolated accommodation for the thousands of soldiers in coronavirus quarantine who are now spread out in the various bases.
