Who Will You Tell?

Romans 10:14-15

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!'”

Many Christians have made a grave error in failing to live this passage out in their lives. The Christian church at large today believes that telling others about Jesus Christ and the way of salvation was a command given to the full-time ministry staff. It is something that the spiritual extroverts are to do, you know, the evangelists of the church. Many Christians today think that this is what pastors should do when they bring a family member, a friend, or a business associate to church. The Bible tells us that it is actually each one of us who name the name of Christ who are to tell those we come in contact with about Jesus Christ before it is too late for them!

My dear friend, why else are you living? For what other reason is life important than to tell others about Him? If you know Jesus, can you be silent about how wonderful He is and what He has done for you? You and I love to tell others about a good deal we got and where they too can get a deal. But do we really believe in Jesus Christ enough to tell them that He is our reason for living and that He is their only hope in this life and in the life to come? Will you tell them that Jesus alone can save them and take them to heaven for all of eternity? Is heaven such a reality to us that the thought of not having our own dear children, friends or family there with us is an incredibly great horror? Do you find yourself at the very thought, being tormented with a holy zeal to tell others God’s great news of salvation? Does it cause you to pray for them that they too might believe?

Truly, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
