Iran’s Regime Is Playing with People’s Lives to Pressure the US to Lift Sanctions

Iran’s regime is mercilessly playing with its citizens’ lives as it rejects foreign aid over the coronavirus outbreak to instead push its propaganda that U.S. sanctions are hindering its fight against the pandemic.

Meanwhile, some U.S. mainstream media publications are helping the mullahs by parroting Tehran’s talking points.

An editorial in the New York Times claims “This Coronavirus Crisis Is the Time to Ease Sanctions on Iran.” The editorial in the Washington Post claims, without presenting proof, that the U.S. sanctions are being blamed by ordinary Iranians for making it more difficult for authorities to combat the epidemic.

A separate New York Times piece – “How Trump Sanctions on Iran Will Worsen the Pandemic” – on Tuesday by two longtime apologists of the regime claimed, falsely, U.S. sanctions are preventing the shipping of medicines and medical equipment to Iran.
