In message 38 of the book of Zechariah we see that the Gentile nations along with the Jews will be coming up to Jerusalem to keep the Feast of Tabernacles (aka Booths). The ancient Israelites were required to appear before the Lord three times in the year (Exodus 23:17; Deuteronomy 16:16)—at the festivals of the Passover, Pentecost, and Tabernacles. But the Gentiles are here required to present themselves only once. This will be to pay an annual homage to the King of the earth. For the ancient Jews this festival commemorated the ingathering of the harvest but also Divine protection and therefore it is a fitting symbol of their entrance into the Millennial Kingdom.
God With Us Always
Reflections I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. (John 14:18) I am with you always. (Matt. 28:20) These are not merely sentimental promises meant to stir emotions. Rather, they are concrete promises of God based on the reality of Christ in us. The idea that God is floating around, comes and goes, is with us one day, and far away the next, is contrary to the Truth.
