Mouth Confession; Heart Belief

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. (Romans 10:9) There must be confession with the mouth. Have I made it? Have I openly avowed my faith in Jesus as the Savior whom God has raised from the dead, and have I done it in God’s way! Let me honestly answer this question. There must also be belief with the heart. Do I sincerely believe in the risen Lord Jesus? Do I trust in Him as my sole hope of …

FEAR!!!

He could hear his heart beating louder than the voices and the footsteps. As he crouched in hiding behind the cabinet, he was sure they could hear every beat. But with each beat, the soldiers continued to move, and soon he could hear their voices no more. He quickly rose, and found his way quietly to the door, stepping as lightly as he could as he made his way out of the village and into the protection of the land surrounding it.. Touma did not plan on still being in the village as the soldiers arrived, but the Lord’s needs …

Nothing Compares

Job 38 38 Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, 2 Who is this that darkeneth counsel by words without knowledge? 3 Gird up now thy loins like a man; for I will demand of thee, and answer thou me. 4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang …

Courageous

She loved the peacefulness of the country as she sat under the tree. As she sat in the shade of the tree, she could look for hours at the beauty that God had placed all around her. She could stare for hours at the miraculous gift He had given her and all of His people. Often He had brought her to that tree, and each time He would lead others to her. They came with the problems that each day brought to them, and she helped them settle the disputes with the advice that God lead her to speak. She …

The Walking Dead

Pete Garcia The world we live in is full of the walking dead. Oh, you know them, because you work with them. They sit next to you in your classrooms, walk the halls where you work or frequent, and live in the houses surrounding yours. You hang out with them at lunch breaks, get-togethers, or you might even be dating one. Although these zombies aren’t staggering around, half-rotted, searching for the next warm brain sandwich to munch on, these undead are after the same goal as the ones on the movie screen…satisfying the flesh. Every few years, a new zombie …

Revelation Message 51 Jesus Victory Ascent on the Mount of Olives

In this video Dr Woodhead discusses the earthquake, which Jesus caused by His victory ascent from the Valley of Jehoshaphat to the Mount of Olives, will cause the mount to split into two parts causing a cleft, which will allow the Jerusalem Jews to escape the destruction of Jerusalem. They will be rescued in this way as Jesus rescued the Jews at Bozrah when He descended in clouds there. The text finishes with a comparison to the earthquake that occurred during the reign of Uzziah on of Judah’s kings. The earthquake was probably a result of his sin. He was …

Stranger Things

Pete Garcia America 2017 could not be a weirder time to be alive. I know you see it too. It is as if the spirit of lawlessness had suddenly decided to manifest itself in a very real and tangible way. The century’s long battle over American ideology has finally come to a head, and the results are not pretty. But adding to the rapid and widespread increase of wickedness, something equally diabolical was/is afoot; the hijacking of the information age. By hijacking, I mean there is as much misinformation as there is real information mixed in with what we call the mainstream …

“I will praise thee, O Lord.” Psalm 9:1

Praise should always follow answered prayer; as the mist of earth’s gratitude rises when the sun of heaven’s love warms the ground. Hath the Lord been gracious to thee, and inclined his ear to the voice of thy supplication? Then praise him as long as thou livest. Let the ripe fruit drop upon the fertile soil from which it drew its life. Deny not a song to him who hath answered thy prayer and given thee the desire of thy heart. To be silent over God’s mercies is to incur the guilt of ingratitude; it is to act as basely …

His Voice

This is so beautiful …please take a moment His Voice Dr. Mike Murphy They were filled with grief as they left. They had known him for years, but the man they now saw was a shell of his former self. Behind the sores that covered his skin, was a man broken by all this life had recently brought his way. Many a man had claimed to lose everything, but before them stood a man who they thought had lost it all. Within minutes, he had watched as all his wealth was destroyed in front of him, and all his servants …

Question: “Can a Christian lose salvation?”

Answer: First, the term Christian must be defined. A “Christian” is not a person who has said a prayer or walked down an aisle or been raised in a Christian family. While each of these things can be a part of the Christian experience, they are not what makes a Christian. A Christian is a person who has fully trusted in Jesus Christ as the only Savior and therefore possesses the Holy Spirit (John 3:16; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8–9). So, with this definition in mind, can a Christian lose salvation? It’s a crucially important question. Perhaps the best way to …

THE STRUGGLE WITH GUILT

1 John 1:5-9 (KJV) 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the …

Even So, When?

By Andy Coticchio “Jesus is coming soon!” Some people might give you a funny look or a snide comment. Others may warmly smile, nod with a “Come quickly, Lord Jesus!” Others might say, “When?” It is a great question, and the truth is, I don’t know when Jesus is coming. I feel He is close (and He sure is needed), surely closer and more needed today than any other day gone past. In the verse this blog is named from (Revelation 22:20), Jesus states He is coming quickly. Not fast, but suddenly. But we need remember the following: No one …

Why are trials and tribulations part of the Christian life?

One of the most difficult parts of the Christian faith is the testing we face as believers. Why does God allow us to face trials, tribulations, and temptations? James 1:2-4 offers an insightful look: “Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” We are to consider trials with joy because they ultimately lead to our spiritual maturity. Jesus mentioned this concept in John 15:2: “Every branch that does …
