The book of Matthew is very clear. Jesus presented Himself to Israel as their long awaited Messiah.

Matthew 1:1 says: The record of the genealogy of Jesus the Messiah, the son of David, the son of Abraham. As predicted in the book of Daniel, the Messiah was rejected and cut off (put to death). Daniel 9:25-26 says: 25 So you are to know and discern that from the issuing of a decree to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the Prince there will be seven weeks and sixty-two weeks; it will be built again, with plaza and moat, even in times of distress. 26 Then after the sixty-two weeks the Messiah will be cut off and have …

The Whole Armor Of God

We are to put on the “Whole Armor of God”,And having done so – stand,As the forces of evil seek to destroyGod’s work and perfect plan.We gird ourselves with the “Truth”-Christ Jesus – Lord of all;And as our minds are stayed on Him,We’re safe whatever befall. We put on the “Breastplate of Righteousness”As we face the daily fight,Shunning all the works of iniquity,Standing for what is right. Our feet are shod with the “Gospel of Peace”As we walk on the battle ground,Leaving footprints for others to follow,That true peace would be found. We take with us the “Shield of Faith”,Trusting God each day …

38–Gentiles Helping Israel Back Home

This chapter, which is quite short as it only encompasses seven verses. It deals with events which, have uncertain fulfillment in Isaiah’s time or thereafter and therefore, must be yet future to us today. The “burden of Damascus,” still appears to be the general context of this chapter and no other “burden” starts until chapter […]

IF GOD IS THROUGH WITH THE JEW, THEN HOW SECURE ARE YOU?

The Replacement Theology Theory – by Jack Kinsella I was reading, with considerable disgust, the thread in the commentary forum headed “Another Day in the Land of the Bizarre” from an unregistered ‘guest’ who is an adherent to what is called ‘replacement theology’. Most of this individual’s posts were vile and crude, which is pretty typical of the kinds of responses that come from those who hold to this particular interpretation of Scripture. Actually, it isn’t really an ‘interpretation’ of Scripture, it is more like a rewriting of it, allegorizing away any references to God’s continued interest in Israel and …

THE SHEPHERDS WHO WATCHED THEIR FLOCKS

Luke 2:1–20 1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was that, while they were there, …

Question: “What can we learn from the thief on the cross?”

Answer: When seeking what we can learn from the thief on the cross, it should be remembered that at the time of Jesus’ crucifixion, two thieves were crucified beside Him (Luke 23:33–43), and both began their time on the cross by mocking and blaspheming Him, as did many of the spectators. One of the thieves responded in faith to the message of salvation and was taken to paradise that very day. He is the one usually referred to as the thief on the cross, while the other man did not respond in faith and is now suffering from a deadly …

What Is The Gospel?

By Dr. Harry Ironside (1876-1951) “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). It might seem almost a work of …

37–Judgment for Forgetting God

Since Israel will not pay attention to God He will cause their destruction and even though He could He will not prevent it. God had called to his people in so many ways, and still does today hoping to avert the disaster (Hosea 11:1, 2; Matthew 23:37), but they will not hear until the disaster […]

Absolute Spiritual Warfare – by Hal Lindsey

I have spent the last six decades telling anyone who will listen that we are living in the final stretch to the end of this Age of Grace. The countdown began in earnest with the birth of the modern nation of Israel. That’s why I call Israel “God’s timeclock.” Many of the prophecies about the end-times are predicated on the return of God’s people to the land He promised them. That was an event that many Bible scholars thought could never happen. At various places, the Bible tells us what will be happening in the world around us. These signs …
