Esther 4:12-17 12 And they told to Mordecai Esther’s words. 13 Then Mordecai commanded to answer Esther, Think not with thyself that thou shalt escape in the king’s house, more than all the Jews. 14 For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? 15 Then Esther bade them return Mordecai this answer, 16 Go, gather together all the Jews …

NO LONGER A SLAVE TO SIN

By Fred Trokie Romans 6:3-7 says: 3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection, 6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified …

Experiencing God’s Love

Ephesians 3:17-19 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. In today’s passage, Paul prays that the Ephesians will grasp the depth of Christ’s love. Though divine care is beyond human comprehension, the apostle says God will give spiritual understanding so we can experience Him more fully. But there …

Where your treasure is…

The parable about the hidden treasure is among one of my favorites. Jesus begins by describing what the kingdom of heaven is like and explaining that within the kingdom is a treasure of great value. In fact, the treasure is so valuable that when found the searcher sells all his possessions to purchase the field and make it his own (Matthew 13:44). One example expanding on this parable is athletes training for the Olympics. They see the field of sports as a kingdom and within its domain of physical excellence the treasured medals of gold, silver, and bronze. Olympic athletes …

The Last Hour

Prophecy – Signs Monday, August 28, 2017 Pete Garcia Throughout scripture, we take note of the different statements from Christ, the prophets, and the apostles regarding time in the last days. One could easily note that the prophets and apostles viewed themselves as being in the last days even in their day. This nearness (as we would call it) has been the cannon fodder for the skeptic, Preterist and Amillennialist alike and have used it for centuries to try and beef up their eschatological positions. But seeing as how they (apostles and prophets) viewed themselves as being at the end …

The Heart of a Child

“About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, ‘Who then is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?’ Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, ‘I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.’” – Matthew 18:1-4 The heart of a child is beautiful, innocent and pure. Faith is bound up in their hearts. It’s no …

Take a Look at Your Future (It’s Beautiful!)

Long, long ago, before man was created, the universe was flawlessly beautiful. The morning stars sang together and the angels shouted for joy. That is how God Himself describes the wonder of creation before angels fell and man sinned (Job 38:7). In that glorious day there was no sorrow or pain in God’s creation. Joy and peace reigned everywhere. But when sin entered the universe through the fall of Satan and spread to the human race, God predicted that sorrow would replace joy. To Eve He said, “I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt …

Where Do You Go for Advice?

1 Timothy 4:4-10 4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 6 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. 7 But refuse profane and old wives’ fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the …
