Faith and Truth

Faith and Truth If we are to believe God, there must be a revelation of God. If we are to believe and know the Truth, there must be a revelation of the Truth. Thus, rather than ask God for faith. We ought to ask Him for revelation of the Truth. Then we will have something TO believe. Paul writes, “Faith comes (to be) by hearing, and hearing comes by the Word of God.” (Rom. 10:17) He is not saying that God acts upon us and causes us to hear. Rather, He is saying that unless God speaks a Word – …

Belong(A Home For Christmas)

Belong(A Home For Christmas) Dr. Mike Murphy “Where you are takes you one step closer to where you are suppose to be.” So many times growing up he had heard his grandfather speak those words. What will the Great Worldwide Revival look like after the Rapture?

Q. How would you bring about a Great Worldwide Revival After the Rapture? A:The second purpose of the Tribulation is to bring about a worldwide revival. In Matthew 24:14, Yeshua (Jesus) said that the gospel of the kingdomwill be proclaimed to all nations before the end comes. Some time before the Tribulation ends, some time before the Second Coming occurs, there must be the worldwide preaching of the gospel to that one generation. Revelation 7 is an exposition of Matthew 24:14 and can be divided into two sections. Verses 1-8 describe the means of this revival, whereas verses 9-17 give us the results …

The Pattern for Servanthood

Christ laid aside His authority, prominence, and power to become a servant. The Pattern for Servanthood Matthew 20:25-28 25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. 26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; 27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: 28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to …

How The Lord Used A Beagle To Save Christmas!

How The Lord Used A Beagle To Save Christmas! “Time is running short Lord. I know you have a purpose and a plan for this church, but the wolves are at our door, Lord. If something does not happen fast, I do not see how this church is going to be here come Christmas. Please send me a sign Lord, let me know that this church is your will, and this is a stand you are calling me to make.” Each morning he prayed as he arrived at the church. A quiet moment each day when he turned to God …

THE SHEPHERDS WHO WATCHED THEIR FLOCKS

Luke 2:1–20 1And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Cesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed. 2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.) 3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city. 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) 5 to be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. 6 And so it was that, while they were there, …

Equipped to Do His Will

God will equip you to carry out whatever He asks you to accomplish. Equipped to Do His Will Exodus 3:1-14 3 Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: and he led the flock to the backside of the desert, and came to the mountain of God, even to Horeb. 2 And the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. 3 And Moses said, I …

Who Do Men Say That I Am?

Who Do Men Say That I Am? When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?” And they said, “Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.” He said unto them, “But whom say ye that I am?” (Matt. 16:13-15) In the final analysis, it does not matter — to our relationship with God — what other people say about Jesus Christ. It does not matter even if they give the right answer. What …

Born of Water and of Spirit

Reflections Born of Water and of Spirit Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. (John 3:5) Physical baptism saves no one. It is merely a picture – of death. Indeed, death cannot save anyone because it is DEATH. Only resurrection can save people from OUT of death. When Jesus said we must, “be born of water and of the Spirit,” He was telling us that we must die and be raised if we want to be born from above. But in what sense? Paul says that we were …

One Mediator

One Mediator For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. (1 Tim 2:5) A, “mediator,” is a proxy; one who connects two parties. Jesus Christ is the sole Mediator between the believer and God. If Christ is in us, then by His very presence in us, we are joined to both Him and the Father. Now, notice what this means: It means that there must NEVER be introduced anyone or anything into our relationship with God who acts as ANOTHER mediator. There are no mediators in addition to Christ – there is …

THE POWER WITHIN

THE POWER WITHIN Acts 1:8 (KJV) 8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. God’s Spirit works in every believer. He doesn’t limit Himself to pastors and missionaries. If you’ve received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, then residing within you is the same great power that raised Christ from the dead. (See Rom. 8:11.) The Holy Spirit creates godly character in all who follow the Lord. The …
