“…[W]hat exactly is the nature and content of the unpardonable sin or the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit?”

“First, it is not an individual sin, but a national sin. It was committed by the Jewish generation of Jesus’ day and cannot be applied to subsequent Jewish generations.”“Secondly, the content of the unpardonable sin is the national rejection by Israel of the Messiahship of Yeshua while He was present, on the grounds of being demon possessed…”“…[I]t was not an individual sin of that day, nor is it a sin anyone can commit today. On this point the Bible is very clear: no matter what sin anyone commits, then or now, every sin is forgivable to that individual who will come …

Galatians 5:4 Ye are severed from Messiah, Ye who would be justified by the law; Ye are fallen from Grace.

Going back to the law means that they have been severed from Messiah. The question here is not grace and law, but grace or law.The Greek word translated as severed or ” fallen away” is ‘katargeo’, which means ” to render inoperative.” He is not saying that they lose their salvation. What Paul is saying is that seeking either justification or sanctification by means of the law will render their relationship to the Messiah inoperative. This is the same Greek word that is used in Romans 7:2 and 6 in reference to the Mosaic Law; the law has been rendered inoperative. They …

The Armor of God

By Jim Allen Do you ever feel life is full of contradictions? Do you sense the world is no longer making much sense? I do. We all do. In fact, one example of a contradiction is die to live (Romans 8:13). Another is give to receive (Luke 6:38). Still another is love your enemies and do good to those who hate you (Luke 6:27). These are paradoxes, ideas that seem absurd and entirely rejected by the world. But these ideas are tenants of truth and fundamental to you and me. Even though Christian ideas are growing less valued by our culture, …

“Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.” Ephesians 3:8

The apostle Paul felt it a great privilege to be allowed to preach the gospel. He did not look upon his calling as a drudgery, but he entered upon it with intense delight. Yet while Paul was thus thankful for his office, his success in it greatly humbled him. The fuller a vessel becomes, the deeper it sinks in the water. Idlers may indulge a fond conceit of their abilities, because they are untried; but the earnest worker soon learns his own weakness. If you seek humility, try hard work; if you would know your nothingness, attempt some great thing …

Eternal Security Of The Believer… By Dr. Harry Ironside

FOREWORD This brief work consists of a message delivered in the D. L. Moody Memorial Church on a Lord’s Day morning and the substance of two Friday meetings when questions were submitted and then answered from the platform. Careful editing might have eliminated everything that looks like repetition. But inasmuch as it is by constant […]

Has God Cast away His people? – by Hal Lindsey

The Bible predicts that in the future Israel will be subject to the rage of the nations as never before. In fact, it predicts that one day “all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.” (Zechariah 12:3 NASB) In that same passage of scripture, the prophet warns that there will be a “siege… against Jerusalem….” (Zechariah 12:2b NASB) The world has not yet laid siege against Jerusalem, but the anger that will culminate then is already building now. Throughout modern history, there has been much antisemitism. However, from AD 70 to 1948, there were Jews, but no Israel. …

All Things Prophecy: Vol. II

The Mark of the Beast Last week I got to thinking about the true purpose (the why) behind the Antichrist’s need for a system like the Mark of the Beast. Aside from the already stated economic and religious reasons given in Scripture (Revelation 13), my opinion, is that there is also a very practical reason […]

Purpose of God’s Law

Purpose of God’s Law Now we know that what things that the law says, it says to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. (Rom. 3:19-20) The purpose of the law was never to give man a standard he must keep. The purpose was to reveal the righteousness of God in written form, and to prove to man that he could never …

The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed.

The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed. Psalm 2 (KJV) Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying,3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.7 I will …

Be Holy

1 Peter 1:15-16 “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.’” _____________________________________________________________Because of the degradation of our society and the loss of values, the word “holiness” sounds to us to be almost archaic or even Elizabethan, but make no mistake about it; all those who will live in heaven forever will be perfectly holy and sinless. The sinful nature that you and I are plagued with today will be done away with and only our redeemed selves will exist. Once in heaven, we …

THE ‘Defeated’ Christian – by Jack Kinsella

You’ve all seen him. The defeated Christian. The guy who tries and tries, but after being saved for thirty years, he still hasn’t quit smoking. Instead, he hides his cigarettes before coming to church and won’t get too close when shaking your hand for fear you’ll smell the smoke on him. Or the Christian who you know is saved, but he just can’t quite give up the bottle. Or the Christian who got saved, but doesn’t go to church, because he just doesn’t think he fits in with the rest of the crowd? Or won’t go because he thinks that …
