Where We Aren’t

by

Prophecy – Signs Monday, September 24, 2018 Pete Garcia I have seen the God-given task with which the sons of men are to be occupied.  He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end.  Ecclesiastes 3:10-11 From the first century until 20th, there wasn’t a whole lot of movement going on in God’s prophetic long range calendar.  Similar to the ‘silent years’ between the Old Testament and the New, we had been in an extended ‘silent period’ since …

Hold Everything Loosely

by

Job 1:22 22 In all of this, Job did not sin by blaming God. Hold Everything Loosely Without realizing it, by worshiping God during his woes, Job is saying, “In your face, Lucifer! I never set my affections on these things in the first place. And when it came to the kids, I’ve understood from the day we had our first child until we had our last, they’re all God’s. He is the One who gave them, and He is the One who has the right to take them whenever He wants them back.” That explains how Job could say …

THE REWARD OF LETTING GO Genesis 22:1-3 (KJV) 22 And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am. 2 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. 3 And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac …

What Is The Gospel?

by

What Is The Gospel? By Dr. Harry Ironside (1876-1951) “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the Gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; by which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures” (1st Corinthians 15:1-4). It might seem …

Another Jesus?

by

Another Jesus? Dr. Mike Murphy I could not believe what they was saying.  I heard the words, but my mind was not able to comprehend them.  I had mentioned my shock at hearing a pastor who was preaching that Christ was a representative of God, but did not come as God.  Their reply to my statement floored me, as if a punch in the gut that drew the breath out of me.  They told me that they had no problem with what the pastor was preaching, that God could be different things to different people. They then went on to …

I was thinking about Peter’s view of Himself before the death of Jesus

by

I was thinking about Peter’s view of Himself before the death of Jesus. In John 13:36, where Peter swears he will lay down his life for the Lord, was his exalted thought of what he was. Yes, he was very earnest and forceful about it and thought he meant it with all of his heart. He did not, however know what the true motive of his heart was. He, like all of us, had self at the core. After he found himself denying Jesus three times, he went out and wept bitterly. Now, as far as we know, no-one of …
